Job Description

About the Team 

The Support and Research Unit is responsible for a range of programs and services to advance the provision of supportive care for people affected by cancer. Programs aim to minimise the impact of cancer and/or improve quality of life.

About the Role 

Based primarily in our Eastwood office, with a flexible approach to working from home, this telephone and online based role responds to Cancer Council 13 11 20 client needs by providing comprehensive, credible information, psychological support and referral to internal and external services. The position supplements existing cancer services and ensures that all individuals have timely access to cancer information and support.

Desired Skills and Experience

About You 

We are seeking a Registered Nurse who possesses well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, along with solid knowledge of cancer care, oncology and navigating the healthcare system. Success in this role requires confidence in providing support through telephone and web-based services.

This role is offered as a casual position, providing flexibility in both the times and days worked. However, it requires a minimum commitment of one shift per week. We can offer flexibility in times and days to be worked.
