Job Description
About the Team
The Philanthropy team sits within Cancer Council SA’s Fundraising unit, working alongside Individual Giving and Events to maximise impact across all income streams. We focus on securing major gifts, corporate partnerships, bequests, in-memory giving and community fundraising, building strong and lasting relationships with individuals, families, foundations and organisations. By connecting supporters with projects that align to their values, we help drive significant investment in cancer research, prevention and support services. Together with our colleagues in fundraising, marketing, digital and data, we take a coordinated, donor-centred approach that ensures philanthropic support achieves the greatest possible impact for South Australians affected by cancer.
About the Role
The Partnerships Development Lead drives growth by building and stewarding strategic partnerships that advance Cancer Council SA’s mission. This includes securing corporate sponsors, developing workplace giving and multi-year funding opportunities, and creating engaging stewardship programs that inspire lasting donor commitment.
Working closely with colleagues across fundraising, marketing and programs, the role develops compelling funding proposals and aligns partnership strategies with organisational priorities. It also identifies emerging market trends and social impact opportunities to position CCSA as a partner of choice.
Beyond revenue generation, the Partnerships Development Lead represents CCSA at sector and community events, builds strong networks, and demonstrates value to funders through impact reporting and storytelling that highlights the difference their support makes.
