About the Team
Our purpose is to harness digital technology as a strategic enabler for Cancer Council SA, transforming how we engage with clients, donors and partners to maximise impact and reach.
We streamline processes, automate routine tasks and equip our people with easy-to-use tools and data-driven insights, boosting efficiency while fostering a positive, collaborative culture.
Through disciplined governance, security and proactive risk management, we safeguard information and build the organisational resilience needed to deliver on our strategic vision.
About the Role
The Data & Insights Analyst helps drive smarter engagement and stronger fundraising through clean data, insightful analysis, and targeted journeys.
Working across Digital, Fundraising and Marketing teams, you’ll ensure supporter and client data in Salesforce is accurate, well-segmented and effectively used for campaigns and journeys through platforms like Ortto.
You’ll play a key role in improving campaign targeting, donor experience and organisational insight—turning data into meaningful action.
This role would be ideal for early career professionals looking to grow their skills and benefit from a supportive team environment.
Desired Skills and Experience
About You (what you’ll bring)
2-5 years experience in data analysis, visualisation and reporting
Strong data analysis and reporting skills using Excel, Power Query and SQL
Experience creating and maintaining data segments for marketing or fundraising campaigns
Hands-on CRM experience (Salesforce preferred) and understanding of supporter journeys
High attention to detail and data quality
Ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences
Understanding of data privacy and consent requirements (Bonus: experience in the not-for-profit or health sector, or with tools such as Ortto.)
